Pleased to see 22 PAX post for the final BD of the year at The Wreck.  We needed a break from the light holiday schedule, and with some extra pounds to burn YHC felt an obligation to load everyone onto the struggle bus to close out the year.

Long(ish) mosey up the hill past the tennis courts and around the pond, before climbing another hill and ending at the large parking lot for the following warm-ups:

  • Shoulder Taps
  • Peter Parkers
  • Plank Jacks
  • Weed Pickers
  • Hillbillys

The Thang:

Q led all PAX to the football field and directed them to line up on the goal-line for 5 rounds of the following:

  • 5 Burpees on the goal-line
  • Run to the 40
  • 20 Merkins
  • Bear Crawl 20 yards to the opposite 40
  • 20 American Hammers (2-count)
  • Backwards run to the opposite goal-line
  • 5 Burpess on the opposite goal-line
  • Run to the 40
  • 20 Merkins
  • Crab Walk 20 yards to the opposite 40
  • 20 American Hammers (2-count)
  • Backwards run to the original goal-line
  • Rinse/repeat all of the above 5 times

Q directed early finishers to run laps around the football field for the six (some “finished” much earlier than others).

With 15 left on the clock, time to pair up and head to the stadium for a new crowd favorite:

  • Starting on the pavement, Partner A wheelbarrows Partner B over the retaining wall then up the entire stadium steps.
  • Wheelbarrow back down the stadium steps all the way back to (and over) the retaining wall.
  • Switch roles and repeat.

A ton of mumble-chatter on this one, especially when YHC announced a 2nd round.  Q thoroughly enjoyed the sounds of PAX loading up the struggle bus (listening to Bronco suffer was glorious after the crap he put us through 2 weeks prior).

With T-5 remaining, mosey back to the flag.  A quick round of Mary before time was called.

  • Continued prayers for Sprocket’s sister.
  • TAPs for a happy and safe New Year.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

This year was a big one for YHC, having turned 50 in June.  I’m happy to report that it’s only a number, as Q feels as good (or better) today than he did in his 40’s.  The lesson:  never stop moving, continue to push your boundaries, and associate yourself with group of individuals that are unbelievably supportive (physically, mentally, AND spiritually) and will keep you accountable.  There may come a day that you are slower or unable accomplish feats that you performed when you were younger, but that day will not be today, and your F3 brethren will ensure that it won’t be tomorrow either.

Looking forward to a great 2020!

AFLAC out.
