Preamble:

YHC informed the Pax on slack that this BD would be a party and might possibly be the best time one could have at 5:30 in the morning. I believe that promise was upheld.

Briefly, 2019 was a year I will never forget, for more reasons than one. We will unpack this throughout the backblast.

Warm-O-Rama:

Hit play on the play list for today. Capri lap around the eye of the storm. Circle up by the flag for the following:

Short mosey back to the cherry street silo where YHC briefed the Pax on the meaning behind todays celebration.

In 2019 YHC found F3, my life was transformed. I gained a brotherhood, have lost 50 pounds (and counting), and PASSED THE CPA EXAM! A challenge which I began April 2018…20 months ago. There are four sections, I failed 6 total times. Remember these numbers.

The above will be honored in today’s BD in the following ways:

The Thang:

C – Charles Bronson:

Line up at silo, perform 20 of given exercise, run to waypoint (~150 feet away), army crawl to second waypoint (~30 feet from first waypoint). We’d audible to bear crawls on the third round. Different beginning exercise each round, doing 20 reps each, as follows.

  • SSH
  • Merkins
  • Burpees
  • LBCs
  • Jump Squats

P – Paula Abdul:

Short mosey to parking deck, instructions given. Paula Abdul is 2 up then 1 down of anything, until you reach the top of whatever it is…parking deck in this case. Head up two flights of stairs, perform exercise. Run down a flight, perform exercise. Then up 2 and so on until we reach the top. Exercises were as follows, performing 6 IC of each. Got a few strange looks from construction workers, but we didn’t get kicked out…If this didn’t get us thrown out, I believe we are good to go!

  • Monkey Humpers
  • Pickle Pounders
  • Honey Mooners
  • Crab Humpers
  • Plank
  • 10 Count (only so many of this type of exercise)
  • Howling Monkeys – ring of fire style on top

A – All about the Benjamins:

Mosey to the rock pile (prettiest in the Alpha…it is coupon heaven). Perform the following, all totaling 100.

  • 25 Curls, 25 Lunge walks, 25 Squats, 25 Lunge Walks back
  • 25 Overhead Press, 25 Lunge walks, 25 Mt Climbers, 25 Lunge Walks back
  • 25 Bentover Rows, 25 Lunge walks, 25 Box Jumps, 25 Lunge Walks back

That was so much fun we celebrated again with the following, on our way back to the flag:
