Set Repeats to 21?

YHC had to go looking for a new routine. It was time to throw in some new activity. We got more than expected!



  • Sky: Clear
  • Temp: Low 40s
  • Wind: light to zero



Disclaimer delivered we mosied out. We need to warm up! After a quick run to the “big lot” we circled for:

  • SSH
  • Weed Pickers
  • Hillbillies

We ran to the back of the lot then side shuffle to the left, back peddle to the half way islands, side shuffle right then forward 2 spaces, back peddle 1 and repeat until making back to the back of the lot.

The Thang:

Thang 1

Six Pack

Like 11s but with 6 instead. Pull ups and Merkins. 1 pull up, 5 merkins. Increace pull ups and decrease merkins until you get to 5 pull ups and 1 merkin. Gather for the 6 then repeat going the opposite with the counts.

After Six Pack we ran back across the lot to the pavilion and step up wall.

Thang 2

Super 21

At the step up wall 1 Irkin, 1 Step up (Alpha count), then 2 and 2, 3 and 3, until 21.

This took a bit longer than expected! 1-10 when quickly. 15-21 not so much. Lots of talk about math and how many reps we were actually doing in total (231 Irkins, 231 Step Ups… each leg) and at what count were we actually half way done with all the reps (video review after getting home with excel revealed that in the 14th set we passed the half way point). Pumba gets credit for the best “math while oxegen deprived”.

We finished up with 5 minutes to go and ran on jelly legs back to the flag for:


  • LBCs straight to
  • 6 Inches straight to
  • Dollies straight to
  • Flutter kicks

And we are done.
