Today is a big day. The Dawgs play at home, notre dame has made their first trip into Athens, YHC has returned home for his first DR Q. It’s going to be a good one folks. Let’s dive right in.
YHC arrived 30 minutes early to scout the place out. Good thing, because google map’s 2014 street view edition of the AO is only about 70% accurate on the minute details that may impact a BD. Nevertheless, YHC found the Pax, the clock struck 7:00, and we were off. A quick mosey from the parking deck around to the Lake Herrick Pavilion where we circled up for the following:
• 10 SSH IC
• 10 Good Mornings IC
• 10 Cotton Mills IC
• Son Gods OYO
Mosey back around, the long way, for our first stop on the road to the top. A quick pause was had to take in the lakeside sunrise, talk about “not-so-gloom.” Back to it, YHC introduced the Pax to the North-Alpha famous Burpee Apocalypse, appropriately renamed “Irish Apocalypse” for today’s BD. This one will make a man out of even the most FIA-esque Pax. A total of 66 burpees later, we are off to our next destination
After arriving to the base of the hill below the parking deck, YHC set the stage. In UGA’s 1980 season, The Dawgs faced off against notre dame for the first time in history to win a the national championship with a 17-10 victory. For this we did 5 rounds of the following; 17 Big Bois at the bottom, run up, 10 Star Jumps.
Wait. What’s that in the distance… Dunder! Only a few minutes late, but absolutely understandable, he had to snag that prime tailgate spot. Let’s do two more rounds together.
Short mosey to the parking deck where we would lay the rail road tracks for the Mean Machine (in Red and Black) to make it to the top. In 2017 UGA and notre dame faced off for only the second time in history. Once more, the Dawgs came out on top with a 20-19 victory in south bend. The Pax performed Rail Roads all the way up, and stopped at each level for the following; 19 Hydraulic Squats, 20 LBCs IC, and 2 rounds of Merkin Ring of Fire in honor of the 2-0 overall record over notre dame. YHC didn’t expect a fourth story, so we Boned the Fish and 6inch-Push-Down-Shuffled our way to the top.
Boom. DAWGS ON TOP!
For today, we must put in the extra work to get a W. Two PAX air chair while the third runs down and back up 4 stories of stairs. Rotate until all PAX have a turn. Lastly, to get a W you have to make sure your head’s in the game. Short mosey to the picnic area where we performed two rounds of neck exercises.
Back to the Flag for a minute of Mary.
It’s unofficially official, very early talks are being had about an F3Athens tailgate sometime in the future. YHC will be there for sure.
Our brothers in Athens have a special thing being built here in the Classic City. The energy from the PAX this morning was awesome, and some great work was put in. I can’t wait to see where this AO goes, and certainly can’t wait to be back. Let’s make history today gentlemen. SYITG. Go Dawgs!
