PAX (6): Dumpster, McDuff, Spit Valve, Bell, Whiz, and Inseam
Today at the Grindstone, we had a special edition, hour long, Labor Day BD. With GrowRuck15 in the rear view mirror, the Pax have shifted their focus to the Iron Pax Challenge.
After a nice pre-BD ruck with Whiz, the Pax started rolling in and we began. On today’s menu we had a little 90’s Alternative Grunge. Crank tunes and off we go for a mosey around the football field. After which, we circled up for the following:
• 10 SSH IC
• 10 Good Morn…I mean Weed Pickers IC
• 10 Good Mornings IC
• Son Gods OYO
Crank the tunes even louder, give a quick rundown of Iron Pax week 1, and off we go. It sucked, but weakness breads weakness, so the pain is always welcome.
35 minutes and 57 seconds later, all Pax were complete. We extremely slow moseyed (some may say “walked”) to the water fountains for a quick refuel. Then off to the coupon pile where we each chose a not-small coupon before heading to the goal line of field 9.
Team up with a Pax of similar speed for a little Deven Hester, appropriately renamed D’Andre Swift by YHC. Starting at the goal line parter 1 runs with coupon towards the opposite goal line. Once he reaches the 30 yard line, partner two sprints after partner one. Partner one’s goal is to make it 100 yards without getting caught. If he does get caught, 5 burpees, if not then 5 burpees for partner 2. Flapjack rinse and repeat.
Circle up with coupons for a little Head-Shoulders-Knees-and-Toes, not without a quick jab at all the poor Tech fans. IC to 15.
Finally, we had just enough time for some coupon Mary before we deposited our coupons to the pile from which they were found. Quick mosey/race to the flag, and time. Happy Labor Day!
Joking about the sadness felt due to the closure of Fagan’s Biscuit Barn on a holiday like today. Then being quickly reminded of the thousands of people in the path of Dorian who don’t know where their next meal will come from.
Pray for those affected by Dorian. Pray for those headed into Dorian to help those in need. Pray for those running BRR.
It was another good one today. Thanks to my brothers for continuing to push myself, and each other, to be better each morning! SYITG
