Warm and humid for the firehouse gang this morning. YHC had been missing in action as of late and it felt good to be back in the gloom.
Mosey to lower end of parking lot for:
Given the rain overnight our coupon pile was a muddy mess so I called an audible on the first set of exercises and we put in a round of 11’s on the hill featuring Merkins at the bottom and V ups at the top.
Quick recover the mosey to field for plank hurdles. All pax plank up in the end zone while the end of the line sprints 10 yards to take his plank while the next pax in line hurdles him and forms his own plank 10 yards downfield. Continue this inchworming/hurdling until all pax are planking in the opposite end zone.
Given the overall darkness on the field this was a risky bet to begin with as there is usually at least one bench or other obstacle left on the field waiting for us to run into it. The added pressure of being hurdled by Reuben in the dark who decided to not wear his glasses this morning gave the routine a little extra spice. All pax made it out unscathed with rib cages intact.
Mosey to Pavillion for a double round of box jumps/derkins.
