PAX (14): Scrummy, McEnroe, Puff Daddy, Jimbo, Simba, Saint20, Popper, Feathers, Sunshine, Hamburglar, Meatball, Ball Boy, and Water Boy (FNG).
I’ll admit YHC was a little nervous about throwing in the pool with the temps dipping down in the mid 50s. Then I thought, what they heck. 13 brave pax joined YHC to give us a head count of 14 total. The Bushwood version of the H0.0.ch is back with more Cantrells than ever! BallBoy got in the shorty game with bringing his mini me as an FNG. Popper enjoyed a solitary shield lock through the hills of Medlock prior to joining the rest of us in the gloom. Sunshine brought the chatter game with Jimbo not far behind. Saint20 did a fine job leading our DB drill. Hamburglar’s was encouraging others and Meatball was swimming like a dolphin. Feathers kept pushing even though he said swimming isn’t his favorite and Simba rejoined the Friday fold and as always takes the medal for longest commute to a beatdown. YHC was just proud to lead this group of awesome men and young men!
Quick disclaimer and welcome to our FNG then a slow mosey up the hill, down a side street, and back to the flag for some IC warm-up exercises. Merkins, Squats, Arm Circles, and Cherry Pickers.
Over to the side of the lot for some Saint20 led agility defensive back training. We snaked our way through the parking spots, then did some monkey dumpers for the six. Then we came back through the same way we started to balance it all out.
Mosey over the B-Ball court to tangle with 3 friends.
Jack Webb- 1 merkin to 4 air press ratio up to 10 and 40 with plenty of mumble chatter in between.
Lt. Dan- 1 squat to 4 lunge walk ratio up to 10 and 40 back across the soccer field
Captn Thors- 1 BB sit up to 4 American Hammer ratio up to 6 and 24 (getting close to 6)
And 6 means POOL TIME
At the pool we did the following:
Wet Super 21s-
21 Merkins, Crunchy Frogs, and Squats- 25 m swim to the other side
18 Merkins, Crunchy Frogs, and Squats- 25 m swim to the other side
15 Merkins, Crunchy Frogs, and Squats- 25 m swim to the other side
12 Merkins, Crunchy Frogs, and Squats- 25 m swim to the other side
9 Merkins, Crunchy Frogs, and Squats- 25 m swim to the other side
6 Merkins, Crunchy Frogs, and Squats- 25 m swim to the other side
3 Merkins, Crunchy Frogs, and Squats- tread water in the deep end for the 6
We ended with about 3 minutes of treading water with hands up as long as you could.
Prayers up for the camp, my M’s friend that is battling to get her life back from addiction, and friends and family traveling to and from Tanzania.
Honored to lead and be led by you men. Happy Father’s Day to the fathers in our group.
Glad to have a Water Boy in group. The name was derived from being kin to Ball Boy and from his favorite sport being swimming. Btw…he smoked us in the pool.
