Mosey on to the football field for the Thang.
With the Clemson vs Bama game on my mind. I thought of Darth and his love for a deconstructed burpee. Today we will honor him on the football field with the deconstructed burpee routine.
Burpee will be broken down into 4 parts. Part 1 = Squats, Part 2 = Merkin, Part 3 = Frog Jump, Part 4 = Jump Squat. We will run to each corner of the field and do a single part at each corner. Starting out with 10 reps and reducing the reps by 1 on each lap. OYO till we all finish. With time to spare we circled up for 1 round of Howling Monkeys, followed up by a second round of Howling Gorillas. To finish off the thang we came together for 25 seal sit ups.
Big day for cardio of drop the holiday pounds. We ran a total of 2 miles during the beatdown.
Mosey back to flag for Mary. X15 IC Box Cutters, x15 IC Reverse Freddy Mercury, x15 IC Swimmers, x15 Plank Jacks.
Prayers for Rueben, Clyde and Brownie. Rueben is started a new round of treatment for cancer at the beginning of the year. Clyde hurt his knee playing basketball, extent unknown, but he will be on the IR for the unforeseen future. Last Brownie is showing all of us what it means to be an honorable man. Today, he will be donating one of his kidneys to his neighbor. A true sacrifice for the betterment of his community and fellow man.
It is official that the Grindstone will only be open on Mondays moving forward. Wednesday beatdown will be cancelled.
