Q 4 of 6 and YHC was feeling it the night before this one. Passed out early so the Q was not planned….
Got to the park early to take a lap or two to figure something out. Lower side of the park seamed to be a washout, so it was going to be a modification of one of the day’s prior Q.
The paxed started to roll in and a clown car brought 4 more. FNG came from recommendation from a friend in NY. Turbine and YHC gave him a few pointer before the BD. Loose the nice rain jacket and it might be a good idea to leave the car keys at the car….
0530 hit, a decent disclaimer and we moseyed. Around the lower park loop, up the stairs to the upper parking lot.
Probably a little of this and a little of that. SSH, Toy Soldier, Shoulder Taps, Peter Parker. I honestly don’t remember, but it was short.
On the fly at Caney Creek, YHC had to shorten a routine. BOMBS, which is usually a partner workout and involves counts of 50-100-150-200-250. With a decreased count, it was individual and involved up and down a set of stairs between each exercise. So, for the Guardians of the Galaxy, we modified again.
Burpees, Overhead Claps, Merkins, BBSU, Sqauts
All completed then mosey down the far set of stairs and back up the larger set of stairs.
As Many Rounds As Possible
FNG aka Venus probably didn’t know what he signed up for…
Blue, Tweaker, and Sparky wanted to do it all day.
So after about 30-35 minutes of that, everyone had enough and we moseyed back to the flag for a little Round Robin Mary. If YHC had known how wet that parking lot was, we would have stayed on the high side…
We almost made it around the circle before time was called. We had a little of this and a little of that.
We named the FNG, Marty, who looks like a basketball player but plays some tennis. We snowballed a bit and landed on Venus. Welcome Venus.
Blue mentioned trying to get the QSource started over this way. Could probably draw some Roswell folks as well depending on location. I’m in for trying to nail down and split location and join in. Lets figure it out and get started.
Prayers for all those struggling with an illness. Seems like it might be a nasty winter.
