YHC has missed a few weeks in preparation for the Blue Ridge Relay (and nursing a minor injury). But now that the excessive running is over, it was time to jump back in the fray. 5 PAX arrived and enjoyed fair conditions before we started a real burner.
Warmup – 15SSH, 15 Weedpickers, 12Hillbillies
The Thang I
Modified DORA 1-2-3–specifically tailored to work on those fast twitch muscles. Each partner selected a smallish coupon and headed over to the soccer field. Starting at the soccer goal line, Partner 1 would begin exercises (100 Merkins, 200 BBS/LBCs, 300 Squats). Partner 2 would shuttle run the coupons, one at a time, to the penalty box line and leave the rocks. Once complete, flip flop, with Partner 1 returning the coupons (again, one at a time) to the starting position.
Mosey to the playground for the Thang II
OYO, Start with 7 Swerkins (YHC personal favorite), 7 Bonnie Blairs (excessive, trama-induced moaning ensued), and 7 Pull ups. Rinse and repeat with a set of 6 each…then 5…all the way down to 1.
Mosey to at the parking lot near the Widowmaker for a quick intermission. Starting at the edge of the parking lot, Lt. Dan to the stairs, pause for 25 YOY Crunchy Frogs, then back to Lt Dan to the Stop sign or until PAX “Got no Legs”.
With 15 Minutes left, YHC was feeling froggy, so we made a brief trip to the widow make for the Finale. Starting at the top 10 Burpees, then mosey to the manhole cover and do 9. Run to the bottom to complete another 8 Burpees. Repeat going back up (7,6) then Mary for the 6. Max Heart rate achieved!
Mosey back to the flag for a quick Mary, then a well deserved recover.
-Continued Prays for the people of NC, SC, and all others effected by Hurricane Florence.
-Putty offered up a prayer for his God-daughter Lani, who is doing her best to fight off an infection. Great kid, we pray for her speedy recovery.
