Eleven men showed up for this morning’s beatdown. The Pax was pretty quiet as we gathered in the gloom. We had a great turnout, but we were still missing a few regulars due to Summer travel. We moseyed over to the parking lot to the of the Rec Center for a quick warmup.
The warmup was pretty much the usual. I need some fresh ideas to make this more interesting. I’ll have to work on that.
- Weed pickers
- Imperial Walkers
After the warmup, the Pax moseyed towards the tennis courts and stopped at a ditch for each of us to find a coupon. I made a recommendation to choose a coupon that you could curl, press, and run with. We then moseyed with our coupons to the top of the hill at the back entrance of the park and partnered up.
Partner Up with each Pax carrying his own coupon:
- 100 Kettle Bell Swings
- 200 Curls
- 300 Overhead Press
Reps are cumulative between partners. When you complete the reps of one exercise, move on to the next. While one partner performs the exercise the other runs the hill with his coupon. This took some time to complete and some mumble chatter began regarding coupon selection.
After this event was complete, the Pax moseyed back down the hill and returned their coupons. We then continued to the hill behind the Rec Center and to the right. It was here that we completed 11’s incorporating burpees and BBS.
Complete 10 burpees at the top of the hill and 1 BBS at the bottom. Continue 9 burpees and 2 BBS… until complete. Mary for the 6.
Mosey back to the flag for Mary. Scar led reverse LBCs and we closed with mountain climbers.
We were excited to see FNG, Phil Brudney, arrive in the gloom this morning. Welcome, Phil, or should I say Stroller, to the Pax!!!
Great news from Puddle Jumper in that his family is expecting a baby girl. Congratulations!!!
