The PAX didn’t sound very excited when I announced that today was Global Running Day. There was, however, a small bit of relief that it was not El Matador who was making this proclamation.
Warm-up lap around the parking lot where Boomer noticed that YHC was wearing a Marines t-shirt that has printed on the back “Pain is weakness leaving the body”. He was curious if it was worn intentionally. YHC left it up to his imagination.
Back at the flag, in cadence: SSH, Imperial Walker, Weed Picker.
Mosey around the world to get to the soccer field. It is Global Running Day after all…
On the field Hindenburg BLIMPS were the order of the morn. 10 burpees at each corner, 20 Lunges per leg (dropping by 5 count at each corner), 30 Imperial Walkers per leg at the first corner followed by counting each leg at the second corner and dropping by 5 at the next corners. 20 Merkins at each corner. 20 Plank Jacks at each corner. 20 Squats at each corner. Or some semblance of that. Jimbo didn’t have any trouble figuring out what to do, but Sunshine, not so much…
After that BLIMP burned to the ground, we embarked on an enthusiastic Guantanamo. Each of the PAX seemed to thoroughly enjoy trying to slam the rest of the PAX’s feet to the ground. Grunting was mandatory.
Quick mosey back to the flag to round out our Global Running Day. Proceed with some Mary with exercises provided by all the PAX except Boomer. He felt left out. I’m sure he will make up for it in the near future…
Prayers for Kirk and those battling cancer.
Sunshine has in-laws living with his family while they look for a house to buy in the area.
Boomer is striking out on his own and starting his own law practice.
Sneakers job interview.
