Persistent as the rain this month, 10 Pax entered the Gloom for another Hooch beatdown. A quick mosey around the parking lot, 9 Pax had their day brighten by Sunshine where we all circled up for a little warm-up.
WARM UP IC:
10 Imperial Walkers
Mosey to the usual paved 4 corners of the church lot. YHC introduced what he thought was a new exercise, but after a quick demo, the Pax had a term readily available…Cobra Kai, so I am going with it…basically a jump up from the knees.
5 Cobra Kais, Mosey
10 Star Jumps, Mosey
20 Merkins, Mosey
Air chair for the Six
Rinse Repeat, Plank for the Six
Mosey towards Church
Trying to think out of the box, YHC came up with Broad jumps into a merkin. Continue all the way to the concrete stairs…
Notable the footing was slick due to the rain, but the distance increased as exercise was performed…weird. After a few close calls…Nacho stuck the landing like Mike Powell(WR Holder).
Then the fun really began…
A Partner-carry, up the stairs. We had 2 groups, a Carrier and a Rider…. Carrier drops the Rider at top of the stairs. Carrier then runs to down the lot to the curb for 15 shoulder taps(my interpretation was Left/Right = 1),modify as necessary. Carrier then runs down to starting point, then back up the hill for 15 Derkins. All the while, the Rider was lunging to the Shoulder Tap spot, Rider performed his 15, meets up with his Carrier at the starting point. Flap Jack….
Boomer agreed it sounded simple…Innovation, changes a man.
Indian Run back to the lot where we Planked for the Six
Praise for Jimbo on his discipline, consistency and the personal rewards that he’s gained(or lost, depending on how you look at it). Praise to these men persevering through YHC 3rd career Q…Rain too.
