It was 37 degrees and wet as the pax showed up on a glorious Saturday morning. Gloves were going to be important, and everyone had a pair until HaHa rolled up right as we moseyed away. He said he was tough so YHC thought we should test him. 6 pax today and from a good variety of AOs. Big Creek, Hooch, Rubicon, and HaHa for the Hoppy run. Since Norcross was on there own, that’s a well-rounded group. Here’s what happened.
- Cotton Pickers
Start with a Fun Run as YHC’s old soccer coach called it. Mosey around the field and sprint from midfield to end line, mosey around the side and down line until another sprint. After several trips, stop for the bearway to heaven. 7 cones. Bear crawl to first cone and do 7 burpees. Back to the beginning and then to 2nd cone for 6 burpees. And so on.
After a quick 10 count, merkin Indian Run. That’s an Indian run but the 6 drops and does 10 merkins before sprinting to the front. After a couple laps, mosey to the rock pile. Partner up and grab a rock. Modified Dora of 100 skullcrushers, 150 curls, and 200 shoulder press. Once completed, one partner does Zamperini while other partner does 10 merkins. Switch. Repeato until the 6 was finished.
Mosey to the stairs. Partner carry up the stairs. Partner who gets the ride stops at the top and does 15 merkins. Repeat until everyone had 2 rounds. YHC thought Clyde or Haha had died at the beginning but they pulled thru. Mosey back to the flag for Mary. LBCs, Dolly, Flutters, Rosalita, J-Lo’s, Freddy Mercury, and ATM to close us out.
Great group of HIMs today. Loved that HaHa pointed out to last Saturday’s Q, Mufasa, that we ran a mile more today than last week. Always good to challenge the King of the Jungle. T-claps to Clyde and HaHa for the boulder they selected for Dora. T-claps to FNG Chitwood (emphasis on the Ch at the beginning) for taking all that YHC could dish out as well as to Foghorn for bringing family members into the Nation. Finally, t-claps to Mufasa for being a partner who doesn’t weigh a lot.
See you in the gloom.
