The Electric Slide up 141

When: 02/22/16

QIC: Flow

PAX (): Boomer, Ratatouille, Tightrope, The Dab, Simba, L.A., Sunshine, Miyagi, Hickory Stick, Weird Science

11 PAX posted strong on a balmy(comparatively speaking) Monday.  QIC stepped up our run game today and you guys did great.  If it was easy, then everybody would do it.  You are not everybody, you are weird and being weird is good.  Embrace the weirdness!  We are called to be different, and different we will be!!  (can I get an AMEN from the PAX).  Normal doesn’t love his wife sacrificially, normal doesn’t lead his family well, normal doesn’t engage others in a deep way, normal accepts this world as it is, normal tears others down, normal doesn’t live for eternity, normal doesn’t care about the next generation, or the least, or the lost.  Normal stinks!

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Honored to be with you men this morning.  High fives all around!

The Thang….

Quick Mosey around the parking area to the “common ground” for a round robin of warm-ups:

SSH: x15

Windmills: 10

Imperial Walkers: x15

“Electric Mile”

Roughly a mile run up 141 stopping at each large electric pole for either 10 Burpees, Merkin, or Squats depending on your position in the group.  If you were one of the first three to the pole you did Burpees (fast guys), middle group did Merkins (not-so-fast guys), and the last three did Squats (not-so-not-so-fast guys).  Indian Run back once we collected the six.  Mosey to the rocks…

“Fun with Rocks”

PAX grabbed a rock of choice

25 Shoulder presses (hold up top for the group)

25 Curls (hold half way for the group)

10 American hammers with Rock…drop rock when done- watch out for your neighbors toes or other appendages.

Mosey back to the back parking lot, stopping along the way to give the good people of Johns Creek a show while we planked and Air Chaired for the six at various points.

“Sing along”

Round robin of 50 second burn outs of various degree of difficulty set to cheesy music.  Remember, embrace the weird.  In no particular order- SSH, Crossover Merkins, Crab Sit ups, LBCs, Bird Dogs, Air Press, Mountain Climbers, etc. etc.

Back to the flag…

Prayer of praise for my mom who is doing much better and for Boomer who is taking the Bar exam.  QIC threw out an open invite to anyone in the group that is struggling and needs someone to be reall with them.  I’d love to come beside you if you need it.  No judgement, we all have a have our own stuff and a story for sure.

The Coffeeteria was enjoyed by some…QIC had to bolt for Buckhead.

Discussion of a possible Saturday workout someday.

See you when I see you!!!
